Cooler days are my favorite days. Give me jeans and a sweatshirt and I’m happy.
I actually look for pieces like this in the summer so when that first chilly day rolls around, I already have them waiting. (Bonus points for those cool summer mornings when I get to do a little catwalk while I walk my dog.)
I think this is the most fun time of year to get dressed. Layering and mixing different textures makes an outfit feel so much more interesting, even if it’s just denim and a cotton sweatshirt.
Accessories also just hit different this time of year. Hats, scarves, tote bags… they all just make sense. One of my favorite ways to make a sweatshirt feel less plain is throwing on a few chains at different lengths so they hang out underneath.
And don’t underestimate a low ponytail or messy bun with a couple face-framing pieces. It’s simple, but it pulls the whole look together.
