A Day Out in Denver: Street Addition
Today I found myself wandering around Denver’s RiNo Art District, and honestly, I love this area. Saturdays here have a whole different energy. It’s busy, colorful, full of people, art, little shops, and plenty to look at. It’s one of those places where you can spend an entire afternoon just wandering around.

The outfit
For today’s Denver outing, I wore a new wool sweater paired with my baggy barrel-leg jeans, both from Due South. I wanted something comfortable enough for walking around all afternoon but still put together. I’ve been loving the oversized denim silhouette lately, and the sweater made it feel a little more fall.

Stop 1: Honey Elixir Bar
First stop was Honey Elixir Bar for some drinks. One of the things I love about places like this is that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re drinking alcohol or keeping it sober. We sipped drinks under the massive crystal (raw quarts) chandelier and watched a movie on the projector

I ordered the Love Potion, while Chris went for an espresso martini. A cute little start to our afternoon.

Stop 2: A little retail therapy
Next, we stopped at a reseller store selling overstock from name-brand retailers. Obviously, I couldn’t leave empty-handed. I found the cutest striped dress, which came home with me!
I love finding pieces like this. There’s something much more exciting about stumbling across something unexpected than buying the same thing everyone else has.

Stop 3: The Gally Bar
Our final stop was The Gally Bar. By this point, we’d had our drinks, found a new dress, and spent the afternoon wandering around RiNo. I love days like this when there’s no real agenda, just finding places as we go and seeing where the afternoon takes us. RiNo definitely didn’t disappoint!
