the juxtaposition of Hailey Bieber and Justin Beiber and why i support it.

Every time I get online and see the iconic Bieber family, the comments are always the same: Justin looks like trash compared to Hailey. Justin is trying to make her look bad. Justin doesn’t care.

I’ve never seen it that way.

To me, their style choices feel incredibly intentional. In all three of these photos, I don’t see one person who “got dressed” and another who didn’t. I see two individuals with very developed personal styles.

Hailey’s style is polished, refined, and effortlessly put together. Justin’s is oversized, relaxed, and intentionally unconventional. Neither one is trying to imitate the other, and I think that’s exactly why they work so well together.

People seem to think couples have to match aesthetically to look good, but I’ve always loved the juxtaposition between them. Their outfits create contrast, and that contrast makes each person’s style stand out even more. To me, that’s much more interesting than dressing like copies of one another.

Fashion is about self-expression, and I think the Biebers are one of the best examples of staying true to your own style—even when the internet doesn’t get it.
